About
Kyle
Welcome!
I'm an instructional designer with a multi-disciplinary background in curriculum and assessment, project management, and community leadership. My journey through education, technology, and public service has equipped me with a unique set of skills that I use to build impactful learning experiences and drive positive change in every project I undertake.
I believe in the power of data-driven decisions and the importance of tailoring learning experiences to each situation. My approach blends analytical problem-solving with compassionate, goal-oriented strategies to help learners and organizations achieve their full potential.
Instructional Excellence: Two decades of experience as an educator and curriculum developer has honed my skills in instructional design and educational technology. At Bentonville Schools, I led transformative curriculum development projects, ensuring inclusivity and alignment with learning objectives. I'm passionate about employing innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning outcomes.
Leveraging Data: In my roles with Springdale Public Schools and the Fayetteville Housing Authority, I demonstrated my ability to lead strategic initiatives, from improving graduation rates for at-risk students to implementing data systems for federal assistance programs. My project management and design evaluation skills ensure that projects not only meet but exceed their goals.
Community Advocacy: My commitment to building a strong and equitable community is evident in my tenure on the Fayetteville City Council and my leadership in local issues, including the successful passage of Fayetteville's nondiscrimination ordinance. I build consensus where possible, fostering environments where diverse voices can unite towards a common goal.
Technical Problem-Solving: I create and use technological solutions to enhance learning and operational efficiency. Whether it's turning spreadsheets into action plans or developing dynamic data workflows, I bring the robust analytical perspective of a computer scientist and the show-your-work transparency of a math teacher to every challenge.

Just so things don't get too professional...
Felis catus is your taxonomic nomenclature,
An endothermic quadruped, carnivorous by nature;
Your visual, olfactory, and auditory senses
Contribute to your hunting skills and natural defenses.
I find myself intrigued by your sub-vocal oscillations,
A singular development of cat communications
That obviates your basic hedonistic predilection
For a rhythmic stroking of your fur to demonstrate affection.
A tail is quite essential for your acrobatic talents;
You would not be so agile if you lacked its counterbalance.
And when not being utilized to aid in locomotion,
It often serves to illustrate the state of your emotion.
O Spot, the complex levels of behavior you display
Connote a fairly well-developed cognitive array.
And though you are not sentient, Spot, and do not comprehend,
I nonetheless consider you a true and valued friend.
"Ode to Spot"
